Homewood / East Hills
4/8/19 Theft from Vehicle - 7900 block Hill Avenue. Victim parked her vehicle around 8:00 AM and returned at 5:30 PM to find the front passenger window shattered and a red brick on the sidewalk near the car. A few dollars in loose change appeared to be the only thing stolen. (64683)

4/9/19 Stolen Vehicle - 8200 block Rolfe Street, 1:30 AM. Victim reported waking up to a loud crashing noise around 1:30 AM. He fell back asleep briefly then woke a short time later and went outside to find his 2016 silver Lincoln MKX missing from his driveway. On 4/10 at 4:44 PM, officers were on patrol in Homewood and saw this vehicle. The driver, a 17 year-old male from Penn Hills, fled from the vehicle on foot. He was apprehended on the back porch of a residence on Bennett Street and placed under arrest. (64854)

4/10/19 Burglary - 2200 block Wilner Drive. Victim reported that she found her first floor rear window open and her Sony Playstation 4 game system missing. Victim reported that the window was left unlocked overnight. (66525)

4/11/19 Burglary - 2300 block East Hills Drive, 3:50 AM. Victim arrived home with her friend to find her front door ajar and the deadbolt broken. The victim heard someone inside the residence and her friend went around back to investigate. While the friend was in the rear of the house, two suspects exited from a rear 2nd story window and jumped to the ground below. The victim's friend gave chase but the suspects got away. The suspects are described as young black males, both about 5'8," thin builds, and both in black hooded sweatshirts. The victim inspected the apartment and found that a TV had been moved but noting appeared to be missing. The area was searched with negative results. It should be noted that police were not called until an hour after the incident. (66502)

4/12/19 Carjacking - Hermitage Street & Brushton Avenue, 3:05 PM. A 22 year-old male victim from McKeesport reported that he was driving down Brushton Avenue with a friend in the car, when an unknown male flagged them down and asked for a ride. The victim allowed the stranger into the vehicle. Moments later, the stranger pulled a chrome pistol and told the driver and his friend to get out of the car. The suspect then drove off in the vehicle. Approximately 45 minutes later, Zone 5 officers found the vehicle, unoccupied, in the 7400 block of Monticello Street. The car was towed for processing. The suspect was described as a black male, 16-20 years old 5'7" tall, 160 Lbs, clean shaven, with a "twisted, dreadlock" style haircut. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black Adidas sweatpants. (67598)

4/12/19 Stolen Vehicle - 7400 block Frankstown Avenue, 4:02 PM. A 27 year-old male victim reported that someone stole his 2008 Honda CRV when he left it running with the keys in the ignition. The following morning, Officer Chris "Eagle Eye" Mosesso was on patrol in Homewood when he spotted the vehicle on Idlewild Street, with one male inside. Officer Mosesso confirmed that the vehicle was still in the system as stolen, then took the driver into custody without incident. The driver was identified as Devin Jerrill Martin, 39, of Wilkinsburg. (67635)

4/14/19 Aggravated Assault (Stabbing) - 6900 block Kelly Street, 2:00 AM. Officers responded to a report of a fight and arrived on scene to find that two females had been stabbed. The victims, ages 26 and 27, were both conscious and alert. They told officers that another female at the scene, Shakeya Golthy, 25, of West Mifflin, was the person who stabbed them. Officers took Golthy into custody without incident. Further investigation revealed that the stabbing was the result of an argument that broke out among all three ladies over Golthy leaving her children at home to go drinking. The children were located and found to be uninjured. They were taken to a family member's house for the night. (68840)

4/14/19 Aggravated Assault (Stabbing) - 8400 block Frankstown Avenue, 1:34 PM. Officers responded to a report of a stabbing and arrived to find a 34 year-old female victim with a stab wound to her back. The victim indicated that she was stabbed by a long-time friend, Crystal E. Flenory, 34, of Turtle Creek, following an argument. Flenory fled the scene but officers have applied for an arrest warrant for Aggravated Assault. The victim's injuries were not life-threatening. 4/14/19 Stolen Vehicle - 7300 block Monticello Street. Victim reported that his 2008 red GMC Acadia (PA plate KYR-3033) was stolen overnight. Victim also indicated that the locks on the vehicle were not working. (69018)
 
Larimer / Lincoln-Lemington
4/9/19 Burglary - 600 block Winfield Street, 12:10 PM. Victim reported that (5) individuals forced their way into her residence and remained inside for (7) minutes. It is unknown at this time if anything was stolen. The victim was not home at the time but the burglary was captured on her Ring doorbell. (65211)

4/13/19 Aggravated Assault (Domestic) - 6600 block Lyric Street, 12:30 AM. Zone 4 officers responded to UPMC Shadyside Hospital for an assault report. A 53 year-old female victim reported that she was involved in a verbal altercation with her boyfriend at her house on Lyric Street. According to the victim, her boyfriend, Lonnie Ferguson, 51, of Larimer, struck her in the foot with a piece of pipe. Officers observed significant swelling and bruises to the victim's foot. Officers will obtain an arrest warrant for Ferguson. (68390)

 
Bloomfield / Garfield / Friendship
4/6/19 Burglary (Domestic) - 300 block N. Atlantic Avenue, 10:00 AM. On April 8th, officers were sent to a residence on N. Atlantic Avenue to escort a 24 year-old female resident back into her property. Upon arrival, officers learned that two days earlier the victim arrived home from the grocery store to find that her ex-boyfriend had broken into the house and was waiting for her. The suspect, Da'Juan James, 25 (unknown address), assaulted the victim and threatened her with a firearm that he stole from her a few days prior. During the assault, the victim received a phone call from a family member. James forced the victim to pretend as though nothing was out of the ordinary, while he held her in the house against her will. When the family member eventually came to the house to check on the victim, James fled the residence with the gun and cash that he stole from the victim. On April 8th, officers cleared the residence to ensure James had not returned. The officers then took a police report for the incident that occurred on April 6th and have filed for an arrest warrant for Da'Juan James. (64349)

4/9/19 Theft from Vehicle - 300 block S. Atlantic Avenue. Clothing and change were stolen from a vehicle overnight. No signs of forced entry into the vehicle. (65329)

4/10/19 Stolen Vehicle - 200 block N. Graham Street. Officers responded to a collision in the 5400 block of Penn Avenue. While at the scene of the crash, the owner of the wrecked vehicle called 911 to report that his car had just been stolen. Officers recovered the vehicle and had it towed since it was no longer driveable. (66109)

4/11/19 Theft from Vehicle - 5300 block Mossfield Street. Victim reported that someone stole a pair of RayBan sunglasses from her car overnight on 4/5 into 4/6. No signs of forced entry into vehicle (66575)

4/13/19 Homicide (Shooting) - 200 block Fern Street, 9:46 PM. Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert at a residence in the 200 block of Fern Street and arrived to find a 19 year-old male victim with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds, inside the residence. Officers attempted resuscitation efforts but the victim's wounds were too severe. Paramedics arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased. Pittsburgh Police Violent Crime Unit (VCU) responded to the scene and is handling the case. (68658)

4/9/19 Theft from Vehicle - 6300 block St. Marie Street. Victim's vehicle was ransacked overnight and her vehicle registration and coins were stolen. There were scratches noted to the door around the keyhole. (64975)

4/9/19 Theft from Vehicle - 6700 block Stanton Avenue. Victim left her house for work around 5:00 AM and noticed that the back passenger window of her vehicle had been shattered and one of her lawn stones was in the back seat of her car. A pair of Apple AirPod (wireless headphones) were missing. (65008)

4/10/19 Theft from Vehicle - 900 block Woodbine Street. Victim left for a business trip on 3/31. When he returned on 4/10, he checked his car and noticed that his H&K 9mm pistol had been stolen. No signs of forced entry into the vehicle. (66033)

Arrestee 3: Mack Green, 61, of Homewood
Arrestee 4: Heather Garland, 41, of Garfield

Summary:
Officers were on foot patrol in the 7200 block of Frankstown Avenue due to neighborhood complaints of drug activity along that stretch of road. Officers approached a parked vehicle occupied by Hughes, Dwyer, Green, and Garland, and noticed an open container of alcohol and drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle. The occupants were asked to exit the vehicle and a search of the vehicle was conducted. Officers found a plastic bag containing (22) "bundles" of heroin (approximately 220 stamp bags) under the driver's seat. The driver (Hughes) was arrested. The remaining passengers were in possession of drug paraphernalia and were released with summons' to appear in court. (66899)
