Hello, HPers! Over the last year or so, I've kept you updated about Jeremiah's Place, a relief nursery being opened here in the East End. A relief nursery provides safe, temporary care for children, aged 0-6, whose families are in crisis. These crises may be as simple as a last-minute babysitter cancellation, or as difficult as another family member being hospitalized. I am happy to announce that construction on our facility is near complete, and we will be opening our doors soon. Before that happens, we'd like to invite you all, our neighbors, to come and see the space. (Once we have children in-house, we cannot allow tours, etc.). Jeremiah's Place is your new neighbor, located right in East Liberty. Our space is within the Kingsley Association at the corner of East Liberty Blvd, Frankstown Ave and Broad St. The address is 6435 Frankstown Avenue. We will be open to the public for an Open House/Baby Shower on Sunday, February 2nd, from 11 am to 4 pm. This is a casual, drop-in-and-check-us-out event. Children are welcome. Cookies & coffee will be available. There's no need to RSVP, but please introduce yourself as an HPer if you visit us! Thanks! Rachel www.jeremiahsplace.org Rachel M. Kudrick
