Join the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy and Tree Pittsburgh for a hike to learn about oak wilt and see what the disease looks like in our park trees. The walk takes place on Tuesday, July 26 at 6 p.m. in Frick Park.
Attendees will be provided background information about the threat of the disease, see diseased trees in the park, and will also have the opportunity to scout for other possible oak wilt locations within Frick. This event is similar to a training for Urban EcoStewards and Tree Tenders; as always the general public is also welcome.
We will be meeting in the Falls Ravine parking lot. We will walk rain or shine; please remember to bring good walking shoes and a water bottle.
