Saturday, February 15, 2025, 10 am - 11 am, St. Andrew's Church
Presenter: Nancy Levine, Vice President, Highland Park Garden Club
You may be reaching for the snow shovel now, but it won't be long before it's time to break out the lawn mower! Are you tired of mowing, fertilizing and weeding your grass lawn? Are you worried about the negative environmental impact of your grass lawn? This talk will cover the brief history of the grass lawn, the reasons not to have one (or to make yours smaller) and low maintenance options to replace it.
Nancy Levine is Vice-President and a founding member of the Highland Park Garden Club, a Master Gardener and a lifelong environmentalist. She is on the Board of The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy and is a volunteer for Tree Pittsburgh.
The program will be held in-person in Brooks Hall, St. Andrew’s Church, 5801 Hampton Street, Pittsburgh PA 15206. HPGC programs are free to members. Non-members are welcome to attend with a donation ($10 suggested) through Eventbrite by clicking here.
