My computer (only 4 years old) took a hit when we had the power surge this week. I contacted Steve Karl (412) 441-4349 from the Highland Park Computer Repair list to possibly repair my machine. He answered ALL my questions (over days) on the phone and internet at no charge. He also gave me various things to try first at my home at no charge. When they did not work, he came to our home and PICKED UP the computer at no charge. Within TWO HOURS, he had RETURNED the machine to our home. It had a new power supply (which was the problem), he had cleaned it up (running very slowly), and had installed new anti-virus software too!!! He provided us with an explanation of everything and how to keep it running well. He charges ONLY $35.00 per hour for his labor, plus parts costs, which is EXTREMELY reasonable! Also, at our request, he also gave us recommendations for surge protectors and other equipment. We would HIGHLY recommend Steve Karl for your computer needs/issues. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and also a very nice guy!!!
