At about 11:20 this morning, two attractive and well-dressed young women rang my doorbell. When I answered, one of them said they were in the area looking for Russian-speaking people. I said I didn’t know of any. They thanked me politely, went across the street and got into a minivan in which several other people were sitting. After a few minutes they drove away. I have no idea whether they rang any other doorbells on my block.
This definitely strikes me as odd. Does anyone know anything about this? There have to be more efficient ways of finding Russian speakers than ringing random doorbells. But frankly I doubt that’s what they were looking for.
