Hello Neighbors,

I have not done an update for a few weeks due to being so busy with the Steel City Big Pour.  But the Big Pour is behind me, so its back to the market.

City of Pittsburgh Proclamation- The market was recently recognized through a proclamation made by the City Council.  Councilman Dowd and Burgess were the sponsors.  We were invited to come to City Council Chambers to receive the proclamation and say a few words about the market.  I was able to make it and was joined by Val Kennnedy and the kids.  We really appreciate the recognition and the opportunity to tell people about the market.

Well fall is here and the weather is still warm, so there is still lots of local fruit and vegetables ripening in the fields.  This is one of the best times of year for farmers markets because of the abundance of locally grown items available and the prices are so reasonable.

A few highlights.....

I am sure that there will be a wide variety available at the market this Saturday.  I have a fresh shipment of coffee beans from Jamaica.

Please stop by the market this Saturday.
