City of Pittsburgh's Summer Food Program 

On Monday, June 17, 2019, Citiparks launched their 2019 Summer Food Service Program. This program provides healthy and delicious breakfasts, lunches and/or snacks throughout City during the summer months. The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) operates at approximately 80 City locations throughout the summer including our Mobile Food Truck which typically follows the Roving Art Cart. For 2019 the Summer Food Service Program begins Monday, June 17th and runs through Friday, August 23rd.

This service is made possible by funding from the US Department of Agriculture through the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Citiparks operates the Summer Food Service Program in partnership with Pittsburgh Public Schools.

The Food Programs Division of Citiparks offers a unique and wonderful opportunity that provides meals for our City’s youth. The programs allow for After-School Food Service as well as the Summer Food Service Program, to ensure nutritious meals are made available to youth, free of charge!

These food programs are available to all children up to 18 years old, as well as individuals with any type of disability/handicap up to 21 years old.

Summer Food Program Locations

Citiparks Roving Art Cart launched its 46th Year of Creative Fun on Tuesday, June 18, 209 

This initiative allows for kids to be creative in nature’s studio! Join Citiparks for FREE, fun, multi-media art projects. Paint, bead and sculpt in an outdoor setting and enjoy special guest artists and entertainers all summer long! Citiparks Roving Art Cart brings an Arts in the Parks experience to regional and neighborhood parks every Tuesday through Friday—10 a.m. to 1 p.m.—June 18th through August 9th.

Outdoor Pools Are Open

Open Swim: 1 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.

Family Swim: 4:45 p.m. – 7:45p.m.

Saturday & Sunday: 1 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

Spray Parks are Open 

Spray parks are accessible to the tiniest toddler to a pre-teen adventurer, and those using wheelchairs.Visit https://pittsburghpa.gov/citiparks/spray-park for Spray Park locations and hours. 

A FREE book mailed to your child, every month!

The City of Pittsburgh in partnership with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library mails an age-appropriate book monthly to enrolled children ages 0-5. Do you live in the City of Pittsburgh and have a child younger than 5? Register today and your child can receive a free book in the mail each month until their fifth birthday! 

The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority's Customer Assistance Program 

PWSA's CAP is designed to provide financial relief for income-qualified residential customers who are havin gdifficulty paying their water and sewer bill. The following programs are available through the Dollar Energy Fund:
