In the interest of anonymity to the responders I haven't included their names and email addresses. However, in some cases I did include who responded thinking it would be wise to mention who the recommenders were (self promotion, real estate agents, etc.) so as not to skew the playing field.

2. aquaguard just a month ago. They quoted the lowest price (there was a $250 coupon in those mailed advertisements). They took 2 days, were very respectful and we haven't had any water since. Good luck.

4. We had a good experience with Paul Voelker in replacing some rain gutters.

6. Schultheis Brothers for our slate roof, flat roofs and downspouts.
7. Mariani & Richards – expensive, but very good – for basement water proofing; I don’t know about gutter/downspout work. [Also received another, outside of this venue] lead to this company.)
8. I can highly recommend Watershield for your basement. I have had several clients work with them and everyone has been very pleased with their honest and their work.
