I received good news yesterday and wanted to share it with the ListServ.
As you know, there have been many burglaries in our neighborhood in the last month or so. It has affected many of our neighbors and left the rest of us on edge. We have all been keeping an eye out and hoping the police will be successful and finally catch the perpetrator. I am happy to report that they believe they caught him yesterday.
I do not have all of the details yet, but I do know that he was caught after a chase from Morningside to Highland Park with the help of K9 officers. The police still need to do their due diligence and link him to the Highland Park burglaries, but feel confident that it is the same person.
My sincere thanks to the Zone 5 Police Department for their ongoing efforts to keep our neighborhood safe.
That said, we should continue to stay alert and report any suspicious persons in the neighborhood as a precaution.
