Has anyone noticed the new yellow lines painted on the corner of Elgin and Euclid? I phoned the city and they said they painted them there because you aren't supposed to be parked closer than 30 feet from the stop sign.
We literally just lost 6 parking spaces at that corner. The yellow takes up half my front walk on both Elgin & Euclid. With five+ restaurants and Bryant Street market & other stores nearby, parking is already at a premium! Not everyone has a garage here, myself included. I often come home from work and don't have a place to park in front of my own house already. Doesn't 30 feet seem excessive? Is there anything that can be done about the situation?
Anybody out there with me and willing to fight this? The buses don't even come down Elgin street & there is no visibility issue at that corner. Plus, why did they target that corner? Many other places were not painted yellow. Imo, those of us who live near the Bryant street district deserve better than this!
