Dear Neighbors,

Now that I have completely moved into my home and can figure out at least five neighborhoods (out of 90+), I am available to teach a few more piano students.  I moved to Pittsburgh from the DC area in July, 2018.

I have taught private piano lessons for over 40 years and was a public school music teacher for 35 years.  I have a BA in music education from the University of Washington and an MA in music education/music therapy from the University of Wisconsin.  I spent years being an accompanist for many children's choirs and musicals; at one time, I was a children's hand bell director; I have facilitated with many summer music camps; and even drove the church bus through the streets of Washington DC, Baltimore, and rural Pennsylvania.

I seem to be attracting students from either end of the spectrum.  I have mature students who wish to either learn the piano for the first time or increase their playing ability; and I have several students who are just starting kindergarten or first grade.  (I also have two very charming, high school students.)

I moved to Pittsburgh to assist with my grandchildren so I am usually busy with early morning drop off and between the hours of 3 and 5:30 pm.  I therefore, teach on Saturdays and Sundays (with flexibility) and weekdays between 10 and 2.  I teach out of my home or can come to your home.

I can be reached at pianoprissy@gmail.com or by phone/text at 623.202.2198.

Take care, go well,

Jane Quist
