Dear Highland Parker's I have a pet peeve I will share based on Karen's observation of the dog walkers in our area.

I am greeted weekly by bags of dog doo that have been put into my garbage cans that set at the alley entrance to my yard, or hung on my shrubbery nearby.  If you have a dog take your discards home with you and don't drop them off in other peoples garbage areas. It brings flys and other vermin and I do not appreciate it.

Subject: [Highland Park] Courtesy when walking your dog

I was greeted this morning with a surprise on my lawn-someone(again!) let their dog excrete on my lawn and not pick it up. Not only did they let the dog go close to my house but the dog tore up some of my flowers and grass. AND brought grass up on my porch!
Probably this person is not on the list-serve but if you have a dog please be courteous and don't let your dog run around my yard. My yard is for me to enjoy and is NOT your dog's playground.  Also if you child walks your dog please instruct them on these courtesies.
