Friends of the Pittsburgh Urban Forest is excited to present Arbor Aid 2009: Art Created From Salvaged Wood.  I hope that some of you will consider attending this event, which is a week before the big Stanton Avenue tree planting on November 7th. 

 

Arbor Aid celebrates trees as a living resource in the City of Pittsburgh and encourages the possibilities they present for a longer sustainable future as furniture, flooring, artwork, and beyond.  Arbor Aid features artwork created from salvaged urban wood: For this year’s event, all works will incorporate light!

Date: Friday October 30th 7pm-11pm

Location: 6th floor of the historic Guardian Storage Building at 2839 Liberty Avenue,

Featuring: Music by Life in Balance and The Turpentiners, local food and libations, a silent auction and, of course, incredible artwork incorporating salvaged wood and light by local artists and woodworkers. Artwork will be for sale.
