I don't know how many Highland Parkers attended the event described below, but I did and I just wanted to thank Patrick Dowd and his office staff for organizing it. I went to it not expecting very much, but, to my delight, I found the event to be very informative and useful. I believe they might do this again (since it was so successful), so I just wanted to encourage my neighbors to take advantage of it in the future!

At this free event, you will hear from local non-profits, government agencies, and businesses that can help you reach your home improvement goals. In addition, representatives of community groups in the 10th ward will be there to tell you about the projects they are working on to increase the value of your home by improving the quality of life in the neighborhood.
