Pittsburgh Society of Artists New Member Screening
The Fall new
member screening will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2015. Drop off is from 12:30-1:00pm at the
Pittsburgh Center for the Arts located at 6300 Fifth Ave in Simmons Hall. Pick-up
is from 3:00-4:00pm. Applicants must
submit 3 gallery-ready art pieces that are exclusively created by the applicant
and made within the last two years.

becoming a member of the Pittsburgh Society of Artists as the organization
celebrates its 50th anniversary.
The guild offers artists in all media the opportunity to join with
fellow artists in the lifelong pursuit of artistic expression. Twice yearly new member screenings are held
at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts in Shadyside. Since 1965, PSA has been dedicated to
providing artist members with exhibition opportunities. The guild also encourages creative thinking
through membership meetings, workshops, member critiques, field trips to
museums, artist studios and much, much more.

of more than 380 artists represents all media.
PSA is the largest guild of the Pittsburgh Filmmakers/Pittsburgh Center
for the Arts, which offers valuable resources such as exhibition space,
teaching programs and the opportunity to sell work at the Center Shop.

than 380 artist members living within a 150-mile radius of Pittsburgh and are
creators who use all varieties of visual arts media. PSA was founded in
1965. The Pittsburgh Society of Artists is dedicated to the vitality and growth of
