9/2/15 Robbery – 800 block Portland Street, 9:00am. A 25 year-old male victim reports that he was working on a property in this block when a man came along and began talking to him about doing construction. The victim described the suspect as white, between 30-40 years old, medium build, scruffy facial hair, gray and black “shaggy” hair, wearing a gray tank top and blue jean shorts. After asking him for a cigarette, the suspect pulled a knife on the victim and demanded everything the victim had on his person. The victim turned over his wallet with cash and a bus pass. The suspect then fled the area on foot. The victim waited until the end of his work day to report the crime so police did not have an opportunity to search the area for the suspect. (166480)
