Dear Neighbors, I wanted to let everyone know that Kentucky Avenue School is having an open house on Saturday, February 26 from 11-2. If you are looking for a wonderful, creative school for your children that emphasizes small class size, differentiated instruction, problem-solving, social learning and ART, come and visit. KAS is a K-8 school located in the Third Presbyterian Church at the corner of 5th and Negley in Shadyside. Although the space is in a church, it is not a religiously-affiliated school. I've been teaching there for five years and my children attend there as well. I'd be happy to answer any questions about the school anyone has. Thanks, Aimee DeFoe
