8/14/17 Stolen Vehicle - 6900 block 5th Avenue.  Victim reported that her 2002 white Chrysler Sebring (PA plate GMB-5703) had been stolen out of the Meineke Muffler Shop. (153602)

8/14/17 Burglary - 6800 block Lyric Street. (154075)

8/14/17 Stolen Vehicle - 7900 block Madiera Street. Victim reported that he was warming-up his cousin's 1999 gold Nissan Altima (PA plate KGB-8327) when he saw the car being driven away by an unknown suspect. (153597)

8/15/17 Overdose (Non-Fatal) - N. Homewood Avenue & Frankstown Avenue, 9:58 PM. Officers responded for a 64 year-old male overdosing. The male was given Narcan and taken to the hospital. (154837)

8/15/17 Burglary - 800 block N. Murtland Avenue. Officers responded to a burglary-in-progress. Victim reported seeing (3) black males, ages 16-18, running from the rear door of the house. Officers checked the home and found it be empty. (154424)

8/15/17 Burglary - 7500 block Hamilton Avenue. Victim arrived home to find a known male exiting her apartment building. The male does not live in the building and said nothing to the victim as he left. When the victim made it to her apartment, she found the door had been forced open and the A/C unit was missing. Additionally, the burglar(s) kicked holes in her walls. (155092)

8/16/17 Overdose (Non-Fatal) - 7200 block Bennett Street, 8:15 PM. Officers responded to an unresponsive 45 year-old female in the 7200 block of Bennett St. Paramedics arrived on scene and administered two doses of Narcan and the victim was transported to the hospital. (155489)

8/16/17 Carjacking - 7300 Fletcher Way, 5:00 PM. Officers responded to an armed carjacking. Upon arrival, they spoke to the victim who stated two males named "Jay" and "Isaiah" asked them for a ride to the West End. They stopped by the West End and then they asked the victim to drive them to Homewood. When they arrived, Isaiah got out of the vehicle and returned a short time later with two more males. One of the males had a black handgun and pointed it at the victim. He told the victim to empty his pockets. When the victim refused, Jay, Isaiah, and the two unknown males beat the victim by punching and kicking him. They stole $500.00 cash from the victim's pocke, then fled in the victims vehicle. The vehicle is a gold Ford Taurus (PA plate KFW-8567). Jay is described as 6'1, 160 lbs., with a thin build and a short high-top fade hair cut. Isaiah is 5'9", 160 lbs., thin, with short dreadlocks that have red and blonde tips. Isaiah has a tattoo on his right hand that says "Real" and a tattoo on his left hand that says "Life". (155420)

8/18/17 Stolen Vehicle - Bracey Drive. Victim reported his 2000 green Ford Econoline van (PA plate ZJS-4567) was stolen from in-front of his residence. Victim believes the van was unlocked and the keys may have been left in the ignition. (157093)

8/19/17 Aggravated Assault - Sterrett Street & Forest Way, 3:40 AM. Zone 4 officers responded to the area for a possible theft-in-progress since Zone 5 cars were all tied-up on emergency calls at the time. The officers encountered Robenon Azeez, 44, of Homewood, with two bicycles in his possession. Azeez matched the description given by the 911 caller. Officers stopped Azeez and learned he was a wanted person. When they attempted to take him into custody, Azeez fought with officers, throwing one of the bikes at one officer and punching another officer. Officers eventually wrestled Azzez to the ground and placed him in handcuffs. (157322)

8/19/17 Aggravated Assault (Shooting) - 500 block N. Lang Avenue, 4:09 PM. A female victim attending the Homewood youth football game was grazed by a bullet while at Willie Stargell Field. It is believed the shots were fired from the area of Susquehanna & Clawson. The victim was up and walking around at the scene. Witnesses reported multiple gunshots from two vehicles in the area that appeared to be shooting at each other. (157650)

8/19/17 Theft from Vehicle - 6900 block Kelly Street. Unlocked vehicle. (157392)

8/20/17 Robbery - 800 block Brushton Avenue, 3:00 AM. A 42 year-old female victim reported that she was drinking inside the biker bar on Brushton Avenue when 10-15 unknown women ganged up on her, assaulted her, and stole keys and money from her. Officers noted the victim was heavily intoxicated and was difficult to understand. She was transported to the hospital for evaluation. (158041)

8/20/17 Stolen Vehicle - 7000 block Bennett Street. Victim reported her 2008 black Lincoln Navigator (PA plate JTZ-4108) stolen. (158112)

8/20/17 Theft from Vehicle - Brushton Avenue & Frankstown Avenue. A gun was stolen from an unlocked compartment on the victim's motorcycle. (158322)

8/20/17 Overdose (Non-Fatal) - 6900 block Bennett Street, 10:35 AM. A 25 year-old female overdosed on heroin. She was taken to UPMC Shadyside Hospital for treatment. (158181)

8/18/17 Robbery / Aggravated Assault - 1504 Lincoln Avenue (New Jug Bar), 3:00 AM. A 70 year-old male victim reported that he was closing the bar and was attempting to get a group of disorderly patrons to leave. The group instead assaulted him, threw him to the ground, stole his phone and some cash, then fled in a dark-colored SUV. The victim sustained cuts and bruises. (156482)

8/19/17 Stolen Vehicle - 100 block Mayflower Street. Victim reported his Hertz rental car had been stolen. The vehicle is a 2016 gray Ford Mustang (FL plate DGB-Z12). (157575)

8/14/17 Aggravated Assault (Shots Fired) - 400 N. Fairmount Street, 12:28 AM. Officers responded to a ShotSpotter notification in the 400 block of N. Fairmount Street. Upon arrival, they were advised that a 57 year-old victim sustained a graze wound to the back of her head. Victim stated that they were watching television when they heard two shots fired. There was a dark colored sedan seen speeding away from the area toward Columbo St. but no better description was given. (153418)

8/16/17 Stolen Vehicle - 100 block Pearl Street. Victim reported that someone stole her Enterprise rental car overnight. The car is a 2016 black Nissan Sentra (PA plate KLN-8572). (155836)

8/15/17 Robbery - 5400 block Stanton Avenue, 5:10 PM. Victim reported that she was on her front porch when a black male, 6'00", 200 pounds, 30-40 years old with shaved head, asked her for directions. As she was talking to the male, he punched her in the head and tossed her to the ground. The suspect then took her purse and fled the area. Officers checked the area for the suspect with negative results. (154632)

8/17/17 Theft from Vehicle - 900 block Woodbine Street. A gun was stolen overnight from the victim's unlocked vehicle. (155802)

Arrestee: Juvenile Male, 16, of Lincoln-Lemington
Summary: Officers responded to a burglary-in-progress. While enroute, they were given a description of three juveniles with backpacks who fled the scene. While checking the area, officers came into contact with three juveniles who matched the description given on the radio. During the subsequent investigation, one of the juveniles was found to be in possession of a Pheonix Arms semi-auto pistol. The juvenile was arrested.

Arrestee: Laquan Williams, 23, of Penn Hills
Summary:
Officers were on patrol in Homewood when they spotted a stolen silver Kia Amanti. Officers radioed for back-up and arrested Williams during a traffic stop of the vehicle. (155712)

Arrestee 1: Dashawn Ramelle Hinton, 26, of Northside
Arrestee 2: Jeffrey Paul Siatkosky, 60, of Allison Park

Summary: Detectives were conducting surveillance in the area and witnessed what they believed to be a drug deal in-progress. Detectives moved in and detained the individuals involved. The following items were recovered: (4) "bundles" of heroin (40 stamp bags) marked "Aston Martin", (4) "bricks" of heroin (200 stamp bags), cash, and $195.00. Both Hinton and Siatkosky were both arrested. (156165)

Arrestee 1: Denzel Maurice Tomlin, 21, of Northside
Arrestee 2: Shawn Yancey, 24, of Northside

Summary:
Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving the Serenity Nightclub. During the stop, officers learned that there were (2) firearms and (1) "bundle" of heroin (10 stamp bags) inside the vehicle. One of the firearms had the serial number filed-off, indicating that it was most likely stolen. Neither Tomlin nor Yancey had a license to carry concealed firearms. Further, both were prohibited from even possessing firearms based on their criminal history. (158018)
