Dear neighbors,

 

I am posting this on our next door neighbors behalf  (We live in the 1100 block of Portland Street) 

 

A little after 11:00 am  today our neighbors side basement door was kicked in which set his house alarm off. He wasn't at home but his daughter was asleep up on the 3rd floor(she was unharmed). The police were dispatched, and fortunately the alarm scared them off. They left behind a 30 ft extension ladder and a pair of tin snips. No one at home on our street saw anything suspicious. The police have promised to try and step up patrols in this area.

 

Please keep a watch out and if you saw anything today call the police non emergency number or let me know, and I will pass the info on to our neighbor.

 

Our neighbor just had his home alarm installed a few months ago, and is so thankful that he did now. We have one also with glass break detectors and highly recommend this to all.
