This also happened to us last week and we live on Heberton. Forgot to lock the door, and the contents from our glove compartment and the center console were strewn about. The only thing they stole was our iPod radio adaptor. I was happy they did not get my Paul Frank sunglasses. Amateurs!

This morning when I got in my car that was parked overnight in my driveway I found the contents of the car tossed about.  Upon examination, there was nothing missing, as I did not have anything of value except some CDs, which have no street value anymore.   I reported this to the police, as I know we are trying to give them as much information about activity in our neighborhood as possible.  The door was unlocked, as I must have forgotten to lock it after removing groceries at the end of the day; that will not happen again.  I was surprised at this, as when my car is in the driveway it is sandwiched between my house and my neighbors, very close to our windows.  A bold move.
