Can anyone recommend a plumbing/roto rooter type company to clean out our sewer/drain system? With all the recent rain we are getting dampness on the basement floor in the corner of the house where, just outside, there is a drain which disappears under the driveway, and I presume connects to the sewer system. We obviously know nothing about plumbing, but suspect that this drain in not draining properly and that subsequently water is sitting there and seeping into the basement. We've heard some horror stories (thousands of dollars of repairs, yards dug up, problem not fixed, etc.) Any experiences out there, good or bad, that we should know about before we proceed?
