Hello-

My husband and I have signed up to testify in support of the Parks Trust Fund at the City Council meeting on Thursday evening, March 6.

According to a study published in Scientific Reports:
'The magnitude of health gains of 2 hours per week spent in nature appear to be significant, on a par with the health differences associated between living in a well-off area and a deprived one. They also seem to apply to everyone, regardless of age, gender, long term illness or disability. “You don’t have to be running around the park, just sitting on a bench will do.”'

If  you would like to be part of supporting the enormous task the city has in repairing, maintaining, and improving the wonderful parks that Pittsburgh is so lucky to have, please consider signing up to testify. The information is in the forwarded message below. Please help to ensure the legacy of the parks and the wonderful benefits they contribute to our lives in Pittsburgh.

Thanks,
Jill Weiss
