During the horrible storm two weeks ago, among the minor casualties were some TV and other electronic gear at our house, zapped by a power surge of some sort,  At this point, we have replaced the stuff that had to be replaced, as well as changing around our setup a bit.  As a result, we have two items that we will be glad to give away if someone out there wants them:

--a perfectly functional, but old, Panasonic VCR, and

--an 18-month-old Vizio 42" LCD High-def television.  It was knocked out by the surge and may be beyond saving, but it's a great TV and if you would like to take a crack at fixing it, or perhaps use it in some sort of electronics class, let me know.  It weighs about 60 pounds.

If you are interested, reply to this message by e-mail and give me a phone number where I can reach you.  I am going to be out of the house a good part of the weekend, but will check e-mail when I can.

If not taken by Labor Day, these things are headed for a landfill....
