Homewood / East Hills

                       
8/25/20- Burglary in the 7000 Block of Hamilton Ave- A victim reported that sometime between the hours of 10:00 PM, and 9:00 AM, an unknown suspect forced open the door to his basement, a secondary door to his home was also forced open, and a window was broken. Nothing was reported stolen at this time. (158499)

8/25/20-Robbery of a Vehicle in the 7200 Block of Tioga St at 9:28 PM- A food delivery driver stated that as he pulled up to make a delivery, four black juvenile males approached him, one displaying a gun, and ordered him to give up his car keys. The victim willingly gave up the keys, and the juveniles drove away in his vehicle. The vehicle was recovered approximately four hours later, and one juvenile male was arrested. Fortunately, the victim was uninjured. (158235)

8/26/20-Theft at the Intersection of Race St and Brushton Ave- A victim reported that two females known only as Jasma and Mariah agreed to watch his pit bull puppies while he looked for a place to live.  The females, instead, sold his puppies. (162935)

8/26/20-Shots Fired into an Occupied Structure in the 7300 Block of Hamilton Ave at 9:00 PM- Zone 5 Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert for multiple shots fired. After investigating further, it was determined that three separate homes were struck by gunfire, with bullets entering the homes. Fortunately, no was injured. (159228)

8/26/20-Theft From Vehicle in the 7300 Block of Frankstown Ave- A victim reported that her black colored .380 cal pistol was stolen from underneath the driver seat of her vehicle, sometime after 10:00 PM. The victim is unsure if her vehicle was locked. ((159616)

8/26/20-Drug Overdose in the 600 Block of N. Murtland St at 10:15 PM- A male reported that his friend asked to spend the night at his house, to which the male obliged. Ten minutes later, the male heard a 'thud' upstairs, and found his friend unconscious. Narcan was administered, but unfortunately the male could not be revived. Drug paraphernalia was found on scene. 8/26/20- Aggravated Assault in the 7400 Block of Franskstown Ave at 11:34 PM- Zone 5 Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert, and upon arrival, found two victims shot. Both victims were transported to a local hospital, one listed in stable and the other in critical condition. (159006)

8/27/20- Vehicle Theft in the 7300 Block of Kelly St  at 10:40 PM- A victim reported that as he was making a food delivery, he left the keys in his vehicle with the engine running, then suddenly saw his vehicle going down Kelly St toward Brushton.  The victim's vehicle was recovered two days later in Homewood. 8/28/20-Theft at the Intersection of Rolfe St and Dornbush St- A victim reported that sometime between 8/28 at midnight and 9/1 at 5:45 PM, her license plate, PA plate LHH-6465, was stolen from her vehicle. (162968)

8/29/20-Theft at the Intersection of Frankstown Ave at N Homewood Ave at 3:00 AM- A victim stated that while she was in her vehicle, an unknown black male approached her and asked for money. When the victim replied that she money on her, the male reached into the passenger side window, stole her purse which was on the front seat, then fled on foot. (160500)

8/29/30-Burglary in the 7000 Block of Fletcher Way at 2:00 PM- A victim reported that known suspect Anton Patton, 20 from Uptown, kicked in their door, then fled in a black Jeep. A warrant will be obtained for Patton. (160753)




 
Larimer / Lincoln-Lemington
 
 
8/24/20- Aggravated Assault/Robbery in the 200 Block of Travella Blvd- A victim reported that after an argument, known suspect Robert Willet, 55, of Lincoln-Lemington threw a chemical in her face, which caused severe burns to her face and hand, when she tried to block the chemical. WIllet then stole her phone from her hand. Willet was arrested on a warrant on 9/3/20. (157430)

8/25/20- Drug Overdose in the 900 Block of Washington Blvd- A victim was found by a health care worker, who had experienced an overdose. Narcan had been administered, but unfortunately the victim could not be revived. Drug paraphernalia was found on scene. (157799)

8/27/20-Theft From Vehicle at the Intersection of Apple Ave and Grotto St- A victim reported that sometime after 9:00 PM, an unknown suspect broke into his truck causing extensive damage to the tailgate, and stole all his landscaping tools, including a riding and push mower. (159880)

 
Bloomfield / Garfield / Friendship
8/24/20- Theft From Vehicle in the 200 Block of Gross St- A victim reported that he parked his vehicle at 5:15 PM, and when he turned 30 minutes later, he discovered that his backpack containing his backpack containing his prescription medication was stolen. (157975)

8/24/20-Shots Fired in the 5100 Block of Hillcrest St at 6:00 PM- While Zone 5 Officers were patrolling the area, they were notified by a passer-by that there were shots fired nearby. Officers were able to locate one spent shell casing in the street. (157402)

8/24/20-Theft in the 100 Block of Roup Ave at 9:14 PM- A victim reported that he observed a neighbor steal a package of diapers from outside of his residence. (157495)

8/25/20- Burglary in the 300 Block of N.Negley Ave at 1:14 PM- While property owners were doing routine maintenance, they suddenly heard a loud crash in the basement, and saw two unknown white males flee from the house, then leave in a white Toyota pickup. Nothing was reported stolen at the time. (157917)

8/25/20-Theft From Vehicle in the 200 Block of S. Farimount St- A victim reported that their vehicle was broken into sometime after 9:00 PM. Two rolls of quarters were stolen from the vehicle. (158646)

8/26/20- Theft in the 200 Block of Sapling Way-A victim reported that her former room mate stole her bike lock. (159170)

8/27/20-Overdose in the 300 Block of Negley Ave at 3:00 AM- A male victim came home late and went to his room. When the victim's room mate went to check on him approximately one hour later, he found the male unresponsive, and gave him two doses of Narcan, and called 911 for help. Unfortunately, the victim could not be revived. Drug paraphernalia was found on scene. (159100)

8/27/20-Theft by Deception/Scam in the 4900 Block of Sciota St at 12:00 PM- A victim stated he was contacted by phone by male who identified himself as Davis Erown. The victim stated that Erown informed him that his social security number was used in multiple money-laundering scandals, and convinced the victim to buy $1600 in gift cards. After the card information was provided to Erown, the victim realized he had been scammed. (159519)

8/27/20- Robbery at the Intersection of Hillcrest St at N. Graham St at 2:40- A victim stated that as he was leaving a local store, known suspect Charles Lloyd Sr, 42, of West Mifflin, pulled a gun on him and robbed him of his phone, shoes, wallet, and jewelry. A warrant will be obtained for Lloyd Sr. (159392)

8/28/20- Burglary in the 4900 Block of Penn Ave at 3:30 AM- A local business owner stated that at an unknown male smashed out the glass front door of his business and stole the drawer from the cash register, containing an unknown amount of cash. (159875)

8/29/20- Theft From Vehicle in the 300 Block of S. Pacific Ave- A victim reported that sometime after 7:00 PM, her vehicle was broken into and ransacked, and a pair of night vision glasses were stolen. The victim believes her vehicle may have been unlocked. (161334)

8/29/20- Burglary in the 300 Block of Stratford Ave at 11:50 PM- A victim reported that a male unknown to her broke into her apartment and pushed her to the floor. The same male has tried to get into her apartment several times in recent weeks, and seems to do this when he gets drunk. The male, Carlos Raymundo, 28, was still on scene when officers arrived, and was arrested for burglary. (161100)

8/30/20- Theft From Vehicle in the 5200 Block of Kincaid St- A victim stated that his vehicle was broken into sometime between 3:00 and 4:00 AM. His wallet and a set of keys to another vehicle were stolen. A stolen bank card was used to purchase Kenywood tickets fraudulently. (161296)

8/30/20-Overdose in the 200 Block of S. Winebiddle St- A victim was found unresponsive by someone who came to check on him. Unfortunately the victim could not be revived. Drug paraphernalia was found on scene. (161433)

 
East Liberty/Highland Park
 
8/26/20-Theft in the 100 Block of N. Highland Ave- A victim reported that while staying at a local hotel, $1300.00 in cash was stolen from her room. (160088)

8/26/20- Theft By Deception/Scam in the 1400 Block of N. Negley Ave at 9:00 AM- A victim was contacted on Facebook by a suspect posing to be her friend, who gave the name of 'Susie Norbee'. 'Norbee' convinced the victim to send $3,000 to her to invest in a $300,000 grant.  When the transfer of money did not go through at first, the suspect provided a name of 'Elaine Lock', which worked for the transfer. The victim never received any grant. (158652)

8/26/20-Theft By Deception/Scam in the 200 Block of N. Highland Ave at 12:00 PM- A victim was contacted by phone by an unknown suspect who identified himself as 'Jake Parker', who informed the victim that his social security number had been used in a number of money laundering scams.  The victim was then transferred to a male who identified himself as 'Mike Walters' from the U.S Treasury Dept. Walters had the victim purchase $2,000 in gift cards and provide Walters with the numbers and access code over the phone. 

* Editor's Note- No Law Enforcement or Government employee will demand payment of money over the phone, and no payments will ever be requested in the form of gift card payments.

8/28/20- Burglary in the 5600 Block of Penn Ave-
A victim reported that sometime between 8/28 at 4:00 PM and 8/30 at 10:30 PM, an unknown suspect entered his apartment and stole clothing items, a Playstation 4, and $3,000 in currency and coins. (161773)

8/28/20-Robbery in the 6100 Block of Broad St at 6:30 PM- A victim reported that he responded to a Letgo post for someone selling a phone. The victim agreed to meet the seller for an exchange of the phone and cash. When the victim arrived, a a white Nissan Maxima pulled up with three black male occupants. One of the males told the victim to get in the car. When the victim opened the door and hesitated to get in, one of the males with short dreadlocks brandished a silver revolver and robbed him of $280 in cash and his bank card. (160266)

8/29/20- Robbery in the 6300 Block of Penn Ave- A victim stated that he went to check on a suspicious vehicle, a silver Dodge Durango, parked in the parking lot, two unknown black male occupants demanded his keys and wallet. The victim handed over his wallet, and the males left. (160456)

8/26/20- Theft in the 1700 Block of Morningside Ave at 3:30 AM- A victim reported that one of his neighbors stole his pressure washer. (158396)

8/28/20-Theft From Vehicle in the 1100 Block of Fairfield St- A victim reported that sometime between 8/28 at 12:00 PM and 8/31 at 6:30 PM, an unknown suspect broke into their vehicle and rummaged through the contents. Nothing was reported stolen at this time. (161893)
