Hello!

I am writing to invite you to participate in the Residential Permit Parking Program (RPPP) Post –agenda on May 19th at 1:30 pm.  The hearing will be held in Council Chambers on the 5th floor of the City-County Building.   It is important that your thoughts and concerns for the program and the proposed changes be heard.

The public hearing is specifically regarding bill 2008-0256 – and I have attached the legislation.  In short, it would increase the funding for the program, without increasing the cost of the permit. Some of the changes include: a $10 increase in fines ($25 to $35); yearly visitor pass would increase by $10 ($1 to $10); visitor passes would be valid for 3 days instead of 5 days.

All are welcome to speak at the hearing. Registered speakers are guaranteed time to speak at the hearing, and they will be given the opportunity to speak before non-registered speakers. To register, call the City Clerk’s office at 412 255 2138. All speakers receive three minutes.

Thank you and please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
