Greetings,

Quieting the mind is a major benefit and component of yoga, bringing a greater sense of peace, and allowing our deeper wisdom to be more accessible. Taking 5 to 15 minutes a day for quite time is transformational! I'll add a quote at the end of this post!

Tuesday Morning Yoga has a new location: First United Methodist Church, 5401 Centre Avenue 15232. Class will be held in the Chapel. Parking is free and available at the church!

This hour long class begins at 8 a.m.. Please bring a mat and wear comfortable clothes. Cost is $10. All are welcome! Please call if you have questions or would like further information.

Namaste,
Susan

The poetry of the Yoga Sutras by Maryam Ovissi.

The container stills only to behold
the swirls of
colors
textures
and a cacophony of vibrations

Overwhelmed the eyes turn inwards
focused
I begin to hunt
I am so thirsty and hungry
my thirst calls me by my name
my hunger growls like a jaguar
I tell them I hear you…just give me time to hunt

As I begin to focus to see exactly where to aim my bow
I see standing between me and my contentment
layers of veils
I never noticed them before
so many
all colors
some entice me to walk through them
others repel me to walk around them
yet they all draw me in
and I choose to see them all
I am thirsty
I am hungry
I know my bounty is there to behold
