Hello neighbors
I will be sharpening sewing scissors and rotary blades in front of Firecracker Fabrics and Cut & Sew Studio on April 1st and 2nd. They are located at the corner of Chislett and Greenwood Streets (1745 Chislett St) in Morningside.
On Saturday, 4/1, I will be there to have folks drop off their scissors/blades, and then on Sunday, 4/2, to return them cleaned and in good working order. Both days I will be there during the normal weekend hours for Firecracker Fabrics, 11 am to 4 pm. I will probably have time to get some stuff sharpened before the end of Saturday, but it depends on how many people show up versus how much time I can spend sharpening. Anything dropped off on Saturday will be ready for pickup on Sunday. I should have some time to do some sharpening on Sunday between folks picking their stuff up.
Stop on down and see me either day. If you have questions about your scissors and are not sure if they should be sharpened, I can take a look at them. I can sharpen your tiny snips, scissors up to 12 inches long, and pinking shears.
I will be charging $7 for scissors and $3 for rotary blades, and take cash, credit or Venmo.
If you have not been to Firecracker Fabrics, you should stop and check them out. It is a nice little store, with interesting fabrics and everything you need for your sewing projects, and very helpful staff. Take a look around and be inspired, or check them out on Facebook or at
www.firecrackerfabrics.com. The Cut & Sew Studio is worth checking out also, especially if you are looking to learn how to sew or learn new skills. They generally have classes on the weekends, so you may not be able to get in to take a good look around on these dates, but you can see what is going on.
Feel free to email me with any questions, and maybe I will see you this weekend.
