Last night the Port Authority had a good turnout for its meeting on the 90% project design plans for the Bus Rapid Transit upgrade. Briefly, the Port Authority is in the process of planning a BRT upgrade to the regional bus system. The upgrade focuses on routes between Oakland and downtown, but includes spurs to East Liberty, Highland Park, Wilkinsburg, Squirrel Hill, and Greenfield. This month they are hosting public meetings to get feedback on the "90% project design"; last night's meeting focused on the Highland Park spur.
