3. Generally very good and quite cheap compared to Comcast if you are getting internet too. Internet is much faster. Customer service is TERRIBLE compared to Comcast (which is 24/7). I’ve had some annoying problems with some of the HD channels where sometimes (rarely) the image will just get totally scrambled and not watchable. This is really annoying if you are using a DVR and therefore don’t have the option to switch to the non-HD channel and end up losing some shows.
4. Yes. I have all 3 and quality is excellent for all 3.
TV is much better than direct tv. Visual quality is an obvious step up even for non HD channels
and the HD is stunning.
Phone is also noticably better in audio quality from old copper, and the internet connection is 10x fater than DSL.
5. I had the FIOS internet and phone for about a year and half. It wasn’t bad. I lost service three time during that time, once they had to come out and replace the box they installed, the other two times support took care of it remotely. When I went to get the whole bundle, they had a lot of hidden costs, converter boxes extra 10 a month, dvr extra 10 a month and something else so I went with the Comcast bundle which was a lot cheaper and I have been satisfied with it, but it too has gone out a couple of times. I hope that helps.
6. We are Verizon FIOS subscribers – phone, TV, and Internet. I think the bundle is a good deal from a cost standpoint. The technology works fine.
7. may be terribly old-fashioned, but I decided against fios because I don't want a system where if the electricity goes, so does my phone. I know they give you some kind of generator that keeps the phone running for a good while longer. But I still don't like the idea that everything is tied together so if one thing goes, everything else will too even if only eventually.
8. I have FIOS at home and Comcast in the store. FIOS HD has a better picture I think. My cost for phone,internet, and TV is 190.00 a month with 3 HD boxes and 1 regular box. Never had a problem in 3+ years. I would recommend FIOS. Any questions, let me know.
9. We have FIOS for TV, Internet, and phone. We probably wouldn't have gotten the phone, but cell service is bad at our house and it was almost free to add on.
The TV is good quality signal. The HD comes in. We did have to upgrade to one of their higher packages to get BigTen Network and National Geographic (and then got a hundred other channels as well). But besides those exceptions, the channel selection is very good.
We have a DVR with them, and that works fairly well. The channel guide and menu are pretty easy to navigate. My only real complaint there is that the setbox for our secondary TV doesn't work as smoothly as the main one, especially when navigating the menus and watching recorded shows. I think that DishNetwork's DVR was better, but it's not a huge difference.
Internet works well... I've never had a problem with speed or reliability, though I do periodically need to power cycle the wireless router. If you are an average internet user, you shouldn't have a problem. A high-powered user might want to get a different wireless router and run it to the one they give you.
Phone works. Don't know what else to say there.
Installation was relatively easy. They run a line from the overhead lines to your house and install a battery back-up (so that 911 always works on the phone). That went into our basement. After that, every runs on our existing cable lines in the house. Installers were prompt, quick, and and professional.
10. We just converted from Comcast/Earthlink to Verizon Fios. We were very pleased with the customer service and the technician who did the installation. We had gotten used to being treated like trash by Comcast and it was a pleasant surprise. The package is a little cheaper than the one offered by Comcast and the package is better. The internet is faster than Earthlink. It is nice to only have to deal with one provider and one monthly bill. I hope this helps,
11. I’ve used it since FIOS came to the neighborhood over a year or so ago. It is very reliable and I recommend it.

13. I could go on and on. Ill just say that I can't wait to go back to Comcast. My internet doesn't always work. They left me without a phone for three months because if their error. Etc. TV breaks up. I have had them out over a dozen times. Always a new excuse and no offer to make amends.
14. I have had the bundle for about a year now and it is fine. Had Direct TV and wanted a cheaper price. Have had no issues with any of the three services.
15. We have the combo pack. We have had it for about 6months now. We have been happy with it. Everything works. The workers were nice that set it up for us. We hardly use the phone but got it bc our AT&T cell phone service is so bad in the house.
We have not lost any channels. The bill has been an issue sometimes. They overcharged us once so we called and now we have $5 off our bill every month for 2 years they have good promotions when you sign up. Make sure to ask about all of them and then call afterwards to make sure you got them all.
16. We have used fios for tv, internet, and phone for a couple of years. The service is very reliable and the picture quality is better than comcast.

18. we have it. the internet service is fine. the support is abysmal. the tv does not have a very good on demand selection, and it appears that direct tv has more free previews. the phone is fine.
19. Not happy with fios. Get pixelating at times. Also dvr has failed me on three games i thought i taped. They turned out with the pixelating thing too; totally unwatchable. And the hd seems to fail any time i try to view an on demand program. I wasn't real happy with comcast months ago; won't be renewing with fios.
20. It is definitely cheaper than comcast or dish. We have had verizon fios after having had comcast. It was better than comcast.
We are now resubscribing to verizon with a lower speed internet connection for $59.99.
Verizon also had an unlimited international calling plan for 20$ per month.
21. We made the switch from Comcast to FIOS for cable -- bundling TV, phone and Internet -- and have never regretted it. The bundled cost is much less expensive. Best of all, I can remember only ONE network outage.
22. When we first moved in last year FIOS was not available. However, now that we have been connected it is awesome. If you have an HD TV you will really see the difference. Of course the ability to record programs is also a plus. Internet? Really fast. So we are happy we waited

24. I have had it for a year and I don't have any problems. I like it.
25. I HATE FIOS. We've had outages, bill screwups spending hours with customer service to help them figure out their mistake, ummmm the picture quality is often jacked up on the guide, and we've had (and multiple others have had) problems where you find that you're not actually getting the fast speed you're paying for. As soon as our contract is up (1 year from now), I'm switching back to Comcast.
26. Anyway, about FiOS - my husband and I have had it for abt 3 years now. (We live in Forest Hills but are trying like mad to move into the city) After having Comcast for the first 5 years we lived here and hating just about every minute of it, we switched as soon as we could. We have had almost no problems with it since we switched and the few problems we did have were resolved quickly and professionally, unlike with Comcast. We've got the bundle, and I honestly don't use the phone part of the bundle. When we do use the phone, it's mostly for long distance calls. The internet is probably the most used service in our house. My husband works from home and telecommutes so he's on for a minimum of 8 hrs during the day, then when I get home from work, I'm on for another 2 hrs or so for graduate school. Again, little to no problems with the internet connection. We have had at different points 3-4 computers connected to the internet at the same time and have seen no slowing down of the speed. We use an Apple AirPort to connect, so I can't speak for anything else.
27. I was just sending you this email to let you know a little bit about fios tv, internet, and phone service. I currently have all 3 as a package. I used to have comcast but I had a very bad experience with there customer service center so I got rid of them and chose fios. It has been the best choice evre! they are very polite and helpful when you call the customer service and whats even better is the service. The tv channels are great I have yet to have any interuptions and when I just had the basic tv package even that had many great channels. The cable is great it works verry well. We have the wireless internet so we can take the laptop anywhere in the house and we have great servivce. Thje phone is also nice due to fact that it is chep. we looked at if we got rid of the house phone we would only save % bucks a month so we figure why not pay 5 extrs bucks for a home phone. I wolud recomend this package to anyone it really is great
28. This is my experience with Fios, which we've had for about eight months (TV and internet, no phone). As long as everything keeps working, it's quite good. The TV gets a good picture and a decent number of channels. We have the DVR, which isn't always perfect (if a show is paused it will sometimes jump back into live TV, which is very annoying when you're trying to record a football game during dinner). The guide is a little obnoxious, particularly because you can't set it to only show the channels you get. But overall the TV service is fairly good for the price.
The Internet is also quite good...it's extremely fast and doesn't go out very often. But when the Internet or TV goes out (which has happened to us a couple times) or you need anything else, you have to deal with Verizon's customer service department. And to put it bluntly, they are a nightmare. They send you through a ridiculous maze of automated menus that you can't avoid, they leave you on hold for an extremely long time, and every single time I've talked to them I've wound up with the wrong person, who then puts me on hold as he or she transfers me again, then I end up on hold with the new department. Sometimes the whole process is repeated as the first person either transfers you to another wrong department or somehow puts you back at the beginning of the automated menus. Once you finally get through to a real person, they're usually pretty knowledgeable and can generally fix the problem. But I don't think I've ever spent less than half an hour on the phone with them, and I've spent up to two hours. So it's a good service at a good price as long as stuff keeps working. But be prepared for an absolutely horrendous customer service experience if you ever need help.
29. I have had FiOS for TV, phone and Internet for 8 months. The TV service is excellent. I had a lot of phone trouble initially and Verizon had to come to my home 3 times to troubleshoot but they did figure it out and fix the problem. I'm not wild about the phone message system - I like the convenience of hearing the message while the caller is recording it - and with the new system you have to call another number, put in a code, etc, to retrieve messages. Just annoying and cumbersome.
The Internet part I can't really assess too well because I am having some Internet trouble but I'm not sure it's Verizon's fault. Instead of the faster service they promise, my Internet access has been slower - much slower. Plus, a lot of disconnecting.
They also screwed up my billing - badly. But I have chosen to stay with it because they do respond to complaints and are prompt. The service techs who came out were competent.
