i am hoping to find one or two people that are in our neighborhood (or close proximity) that could be potential babysitters for us on occasion in the evening or weekend for a few hours at a time. i know that there have been postings here and there by people who wish to provide such services. we have a one-year-old and thereby the person would need to be able to lift/carry 25 pounds. if you are interested in being on our list of possible babysitters, or if you know of someone who may be interested, please forward along information.

i posted a message at the beginning of the summer regarding the possibility of starting a parenting network for the HP neighborhood. now that i am beginning to get settled into my life - new city, new job, new everything - it is something that i am seriously considering initiating for our community. please send me a quick email again if you would be interested in assisting with this undertaking. i have found the HP community to be a wonderful, welcoming place and look forward to uniting the parents here to become a resource for one another.
