Monday night, the same night as the other robbery incident, there was an attempted armed robbery. Here is what I know. Gerald the owner of the laundromat was closing down his store at roughly 9:30. He was walking up to the laundromat front door when he said he heard someone running up behind him. He turned around and the person was pointing a gun at him. A scuffle ensued and Gerald fought off the attacker and the attacker fled. Gerald was still shaken up when he came to tell me Tuesday morning. He really didn't give me any other details and he did not file a police report. As said in the other post, please be careful when out walking. I was not involved, but I thought the neighborhood should be aware of this incident.
