Renovate, Restore, Reuse

With Construction Junction

Join us for an exciting workshop with Pittsburgh’s non-profit building material reuse retailer, Construction Junction. Come learn about CJ's approach in reusing a wide range of house and building materials — from bathtubs to construction tools to insulation— which it provides to the community at a low cost.

DATE: Saturday, Nov. 12
TIME: 10:00am — 11:30am
LOCATION: Landmarks Housing Resource Center, 744 Rebecca Ave, Wilkinsburg, PA 15221

Come learn about some of the unique items available at Construction Junction’s Point Breeze retail store, like their expanded antique door collection. Get inspiration and ideas from the Reuse Competition winners’ innovative uses of Construction Junction materials. Learn how usable building materials are conserved in the deconstruction process and get a sneak peek at Construction Junction’s future projects.

For anyone:

  • Interested in green home building and remodeling projects that save money
  • Who may have home and building materials to pass on to neighbors through Construction Junction’s store
  • Interested in learning about an environmentally conscious community organization that helps bring conservation and green building to Pittsburgh.
