Dear Neighbors
We had the same thing happen to our cars on the 1200 block of N Highland. We have a long driveway and both of our cars were in the garage. At about 2 in the morning our dogs started barking and a light with a motion detector was triggered over the driveway. I looked out the window for a few minutes and did not see anything amiss. I figured it was a racoon. In the morning both of our cars were ransacked. There was nothing of value in them and nothing was taken except a few quarters. Whoever is doing this, is certainly brazen, we have lights on over our front and back porch all night and 4 flood lights in our back yard with motion detectors.

Subject: [Highland Park] night visitors on Farragut Street Hello Neighbors,We live on Farragut right off Jackson. When I got into my van this morning I noticed the center console and glove compartment opened. I had accidentally left the van unlocked overnight at the of our long driveway and someone opened the car and went through everything. Nothing was taken. We keep a porch light on all night and a light in the back yard. Neighbors tell me that Farragut has experienced very little with this type of attempted theft. Please be sure to take all valuables out of your car at night. Thankfully, my car is only full of empty juice boxes and other icky things.Joan Soulliere
Junk mail invades our privacy and clogs our mailboxes, it also claims 100 million trees a year--significantly contributing to climate change. The Junk Mail Effect equals the emissions of nine millions cars, the total emissions of seven U.S. states combined, or the emissions equal to heating nearly 13 million homes for the winter.
