Greetings Highland Park Neighbors and others
receiving this message. My name is Julie Sandson and I have been owning,
showing, caring for, and training dogs since my childhood.
Before I continue, I would like to thank the many
new highland park clients I have aquired via this website for their new business
and kind and welcoming spirit and attitudes. Highland park has some wonderful
residents and I feel very fortunate to have met so many new neighbors. Thanks to
all of my new clients for your trust and lovely, welcoming spirit.
To continue, I live on Grafton Street and am highly
accessable to my Highland Park clients. I also service Point Breeze, Squirrel
Hill, Greenfield, Aspinwall, Friendship, Regent Square and parts of Fox Chapel.
I will travel farther for training engagements.
if you would like to review my menu of services,
pricelist and/or my background (K-9 to 5's Pack Leader) on the drop down menu.
K-9 to 5 has been in business formally for 8+ years, but I have been involved in
the training of dogs, cats and horses since my childhood. You may also want to
visit the 'references and testimonials section to see what current and.or past
clients of k-9 to 5 have to say about my services.
Although it is not listed in my menu of services, I
will host/permit one housebroken, housetrained dog - or 2 dogs from the same
household to live in my home in lieu of boarding, which many dogs do not
tolerate well. I treat the dog(s) as if they were my own. They have a fully
fenced yard to romp in, over 4000 sq. feet of open indoor space in an open
floor plan environment and dogs recieve at least 3 walks on leash per
day. I frequently take dogs living with me in the car (I have commercial auto
coverage to transport animals safely insured!) to places like Hartwood acres and
allow them to hike the trails on a 15 foot tracking lead. They love the freedom
and exercise.

my home, or if you prefer, in your home.
As per my veterinary training and background, I can
provide special needs care to dogs and cats including subcutaneous injections,
taking temperatures and IV administration with calming supervision while the bag
drips to emply.
I also offer in-home (overnite, live-in) training
for owners with puppies who need a little extra help and supervision to 'get it
together' and also for 'red alert' dogs who bite and living with me for a time
for intensive training and temperament shaping may be a last effort before
