Dear Friends,

I am writing today to update you on the plans to remove the graffiti on the Highland Park sculptures.

I have spoken to three art conservators and have coordinated a cleaning method with City Graffiti Busters.

Graffiti Busters has had some employees out sick this week, but will place a high priority on this particular problem as it has offensive messages and is on City artwork.

Graffiti Busters and I will meet onsite early next week and make some removal tests with subsequent cleaning.

Please remember that if you see graffiti on any City artworks, please call 311 or my office directly.

If you see graffiti on other public (City) property, please call 911 and 311 (311 will reach City’s Graffiti Busters and is the preferred method of notification).

If you experience graffiti on your (private) property, please call 911, take pictures, then clean yourself or call 311 for Graffiti Busters.

Thanks again
