A new mattress recently led to the need to divest myself of a queen-size platform bed which has a bookcase headboard (it attaches and wouldn’t have to be used if you didn’t have room for it).   The wood is about the color of pale oak, but, as I recall, it’s actually either ash or elm.  They’re about 25 years old but in good shape.  I’m not charging for them.  Removal is definitely a two-person job (and I wouldn’t be one of those people!)
