The traditional and always fun for all ages Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner and Mardi Gras Party will take place in Brooks Hall of St. Andrew's Church on Hampton Street, beginning to serve at 5:30 p.m. Wear a Mardi Gras costume! Games follow, with the crowning of the King and Queen of the Mardi Gras! No charge for dinner, though our free-will donations are always appreciated . . . .

Ash Wednesday services (Liturgy for Ash Wednesday and Holy Communion) at St. Andrew's are 7:15 a.m. (to be finished before 8 a.m., for those off to work or school), 12 noon, and 8 p.m.

"I invite you, therefore, in the name of the Church, to the observance of a holy Lent, by self-examination and repentance; by prayer, fasting, and self-denial; and by reading and meditating on God's holy Word."
