The Great Bell of St. Andrew's Church will ring at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, September 24, as a sign of prayer for the leaders of the G-20 nations as they gather here in Pittsburgh. Members of the parish and friends of the neighborhood who would like to gather for a brief prayer and to climb the tower to ring the bell are invited to meet at the front doors of the Church, Hampton Street at North Euclid, at 11:50 a.m. In the Deacon's Bidding Prayer at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Sunday, September 20: "In this season of war, environmental concern, and global economic distress, I bid your prayers for the leaders of the G-20 nations as they meet together here in Pittsburgh this week, that they may find ways to contribute to the well-being of all people. I bid your prayers for our City of Pittsburgh in the week ahead, and especially for our police, fire, and other public safety officials."
