RABKIN JAPANESE GARDENS (Tarentum)

The HPGC is continuing with its plan to visit the Rabkin Japanese Gardens in Tarentum in all 4 seasons. Thanks to Dr. Michael and Beth Rabkin, club members and guests have toured the garden in spring and summer. Come on this fall tour to experience the garden in its autumn colors.
The Hy & Irma Rabkin Japanese Gardens are an astounding oriental garden haven in the middle of the urban greater Pittsburgh area. They were commissioned and are owned by Michael S. Rabkin, M.D., Ph.D. and his wife, Beth Rabkin.
There are three gardens:
Dr. Rabkin is a member of the North American Japanese Garden Association. He was inspired to build the gardens by his love of gardens in general and Japanese gardens in particular that he had visited over the years, especially the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco.
The program is free to members of the Highland Park Garden Club. All are invited to join the Club either online through Eventbrite by clicking here, or by emailing hpgcpgh@gmail.com if you prefer to join by mail.
