My name is Joan Soulliere and my family and I are moving back to Higland Park this summer. My daughter, Maeve, who is 7.5, has been a Brownie Girl Scout this past year in Massachusetts and has greatly enjoyed and benefitted from the experience. She was able to meet girls from all over rather than just her school. I have been in touch with the Pittsburgh Girl Scout Council and learned that there are over 50 girls on the east side waiting for spots in a Brownie Troop.

I am willing to be a Troop Leader and have found a space at St. Andrew's Church for the twice-monthly meetings. Their best time is from 4:00-5:30. Are there girls out there in Highland Park interested in joining Brownies? I am a former children's librarian with lots of experience working with elementary school children and was the "Cookie Mom" for Maeve's troop this past year. I would love for this to work! Brownies is for girls going into grades 1, 2 and 3. No experience necessary! Please email me if you have interest, questions, and if you have a specific afternoon request.
