Lawrenceville’s Library.
Councilman Dowd and his colleagues successfully cast a
preliminary vote to provide the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh with enough
funds to continue operating the Lawrenceville branch in 2010. While the
difficult work of finding a sustainable funding stream is still to be
completed, City Council has at least averted the closure or move of any
facilities next year. A final vote will take place next Tuesday, December 1.
Please call our office with any questions.
