French Lesson: What is a Guinguette?
A "guinguette" is a local gathering place, often by a river, popular in France in the early 20th century. Families and friends would go there on a summer afternoon to relax, enjoy good food and wine, and celebrate life. We'll probably skip the French tradition of bathing in the river. But otherwise, we guarantee you will feel transported!
