I wanted to take an opportunity to use the listserv for some shameless self-promotion. Two years ago I founded Patriot Fireworks LLC along with a friend of mine who had experience working in the fireworks industry. We saw how the big players in fireworks were increasing prices every year while also lowering the quality of their product. So we decided to see if we could do better and made a promise to ourselves that we would only sell quality fireworks and that we wouldn't "get greedy" like the big names have. We started out with 2 tents, one here in Pittsburgh and another in King of Prussia where my partner lives. Two years later we have expanded to 9 seasonal retail locations and also moved into wholesaling and guaranteed product services.

Our tents are small and not as flashy as our competitors, but this allows us to keep our costs down. Despite the larger tents that the other guys use, we actually have a wider variety of products as well. The bigger companies have 1000 square foot tents and spread the same items around to different areas of the tent to make it look like they have a bigger variety. Don't be fooled.

Most of our locations are in eastern PA, but we still have our original tent here in Pittsburgh at Puff Discount Tobacco in Plum Township. If anyone is interested in fireworks this summer, I would like to encourage you to give us a chance. We sell Shogun brand fireworks from China and have been very pleased with the quality and value of these items. While I prefer to support U.S. manufacturers whenever I can, I have to say that when it comes to fireworks, the Chinese still make them better than anyone and at a price that allows us to match or beat the prices of our competitors.
