To all of of wonderful guests,
We want to thank all who came to the Indian Buffet, to celebrated India's Independence Day with Chef Rey. We also would like to apologize for any inconvenience and/or delay in your service that evening. It was brought to our attention that some may have experienced an unacceptable amount of time waiting for their meals, drinks, etc. We sincerely apologize and ask that you graciously understand some of the circumstances that we unexpectedly had to work with. Please believe, we are not trying to make excuses, but there were legitamate reasons for some of our service delays.
Firstly, we were very pleasantly surprised with the number of guests that came (A HUGE Thank You). We were expecting approximately 50% less guests based on our reservations. (But trust me, we are very happy that so many came....) and,
Secondly, we had double the wait staff scheduled that evening, however, one of our server's
grandmother passed, and her place was with her family, as it should be. Then we had another server call in with a fever of 103 degrees. Her place also, was at home with her family.
With this said, I think that the staff that we had working that night did a superb job! And we are very proud of them! Of the 2 young ladies that served that night, the one was still in training! They both are heading off to college soon and we are going to miss them dearly. They have done a great job, and we can only hope that we can find replacements equally as pleasant, friendly, and efficient as Courtney and Kate.
