The SUNSTAR Music Series closes with a night of Pittsburgh bands and artists. Former frontwoman of Soma Mestizo, Christiane D performs songs from her new solo debut albumObliquity of the Ecliptic. City Paper says, “Sonically, the album warps through punk rock aesthetics, hip-hop montage, rock’n’roll power and inflections of jazz free-spiritedness.” Orchestral twang pop band, Boca Chica, performs dark, catchy music that’s equal parts Neko Case and Dolly Parton. DJ Mary Mack promises to provide some ‘90s nostalgia, while TheArmadillos mix the sounds of Appalachia with a modern rockabilly vibe.

Diverse and vibrant, the SUNSTAR Music Series celebrates the best female emerging and established music makers through concerts, storytelling, and parties.
