Hello Neighbors,
Since Christmas falls on a Saturday this year, we will be closed on the 25th. But will be open on Friday December 24th- Christmas Eve. We open from 5 am until 11 am. So please stop by for all your Christmas needs.
As I mentioned in my message last week, the market as a great source for holiday gifts for friends and family members. We have lots of locally grown and made items that make great gifts. These days people like to get things that are locally grown and locally made. Here are a few ideas of items that you can use for gifts:
- California Connection- a bottle of EV olive oil, or bag of organic apricots
- Earthen Springs Naturals- a bottle of natural soap or moisturizer
- Greenawalt Farm- a dozed eggs, or a jar of locally made mustard
- Kennedy Family Meat Stand- smoked pheasants (which are shrink wrapped)
- Kew Park Coffee Bar- a pound of roasted beans
- Kistaco Farm- A half gallon of cider, a jar of local honey or maple syrup
- Mrs. Jones- A jar of multi-purpose sauce
- Greek Gourmet- a container of hummus
- Rebecca Plum- a baked zucchini bread
- Riverview Dairy- A piece of goat cheese or goat milk fudge
- Zang Greenhouse- Christmas flowers
So grab a reusable gift bag and come on down to the market to fill it up.
A few other updates:
- Tim from Kistaco Farm will have pre-made holiday fruit baskets. They are very reasonably priced and make great gifts.
- Val from Kennedy Farm let me know that they still have fresh turkeys, turkey breasts, standing rib roasts, boneless prime rib, and our usual beef, pork, and poultry items left for this Friday. Please call in orders ahead if you can. Please do not call past 6:00 on Thursday. The farm number is 724-898-2316.

The Farmers' Market Cooperative of East Liberty is located at 344 North Sheridan Ave., adjacent to the Home Depot parking lot. The market operates year round- and is open from 5 AM until 12 noon every Saturday of the year.
