want. You can place order by calling John or Val at the farm- (724) 898-2316.
There
is also a lot of great fall produce at the market these days. Many seasonal
vegetables are available including many that are grown locally. Other local
items include cider, eggs, milk, goat cheese, bread and much more.
And
of course, we will have that incredible Kew Park Coffee at the Coffee Stand.
Kew Park coffee comes to Pittsburgh direct from the farm in Jamaica. We will
be serving fresh brewed coffee at the market and whole beans to take home.
Make sure to pick some up to serve for Thanksgiving or to give as a gift.

ANNOUNCING THE AVAILABILITY OF KEW PARK
COFFEE IN THE PITTSBURGH AREA
The Kew Park Coffee Bar at the East Liberty
Farmers Market
A new coffee bar
opened recently at the East Liberty Farmers Market that features some
incredible coffee from Jamaica. Fresh brewed and whole bean coffee will
be available at the market. Kew Park Coffee is being brought to you directly
from the farm by the Lagnese family of Highland Park. The coffee is roasted and
shipped directly from Jamaica to Pittsburgh on a weekly basis. It does not go
through a distributor or wholesaler, and thus does not sit on a shelf in a
warehouse.
The East Liberty Farmers
Market operates year round and is open every Saturday from 5 am until 12 noon.
The market is located behind Home Depot. The East Liberty Farmer’s Market has
been a part of our community since 1947! The market features a great
variety of locally grown and made items including meats, fruits and vegetables,
bread, eggs, cider, cheese and much more.
The Kew Park Story
Kew Park Estate is a
well-known coffee estate located high in the hills of the parish of
Westmoreland, in Western Jamaica. Coffee has been grown on Kew Park for over
200 years. Currently, a total of 35 acres of Arabica coffee is grown at Kew
Park, and is widely regarded as among the best Jamaican coffees. The coffee
farm is part of a larger 2,200 acre farm that features citrus and other fruits,
as well as beef cattle, pigs, chickens and hardwood tropical trees—all grown
and raised using sustainable methods. The farm also specializes in the
production of essential oils and aromatic fragrances. Kew Park was granted one
of the first “Estate Grown Coffee” designations issued by the Jamaican Coffee
Industry Board. The Estate Grown Coffee status allows Kew Park to process and
market the coffee both locally and for export.
Kew Park is a family run
operation—owned and operated by Peter Williams and his wife Gina Green. The
Williams family has farmed Kew Park for five generations. They take great pride
in the way they grow and process their coffee. The Kew Park farm provides
livelihood to many families in the surrounding communities.
The Coffee Bar
The coffee bar is
also a family run operation- the Lagnese family from Highland Park- David,
Cristy, Marco and Maria.
