For those of you with FIOS phone ...

 

You can set your voice mail notifications (login to the website) to email you when someone leaves a message.

Their CID Name and phone number appear in the subject line so it makes it very obvious and not necessary to even open the email.
( I really like this one )

 

You can also see a log of all phone activity on the web site, all incoming outgoing and sent to voice mail etc.

 

You can also block specific numbers (right click on the number) from getting through to a ring.

The result the blocked caller hears is:
“412-xxx-xxxx is not receiving calls at this time” ... or something almost exactly like that.

 

You can also initiate a call back (right click on the number) to any number in the activity list right from the web page.

Forwarding incoming calls to an other number is also possible.
