Turning to you all again for help. It seems that I need a new roof. Estimates so far have been astronomical (for me) and comparing one to the other feels like looking at apples and oranges. There are a dozen companies on the H.P. Tradespersons List, but many of the recommendations refer to slate roofs and mine is shingles. Just wondering if any of you can offer suggestions or recommendations. Also, any suggestions on how a simple way I might educate myself on the topic of roofs so that I can feel like I know what I'm doing?
